What is Capillar.io?
Capillaro.io is a logistics economically decentralized platform for organizing transportation of large and small cargo directly to the destination. The delivery is provided by shipment chains using various means of transport.
Why?
Removing restrictions in logistics due to the properties of market economy will support shipping to the most remote villages regardless of distance. Such shipments are unprofitable now.
How does it work?
The idea is to build holistic end-to-end multimodal supply chains for the first time from the large scale shipments up to an individual parcel. By the means of platform Capillar.io any person or company would be able to declare their transport capabilities and join the supply chain.
Where does this name come from?
Project name – Capillar.io was not chosen by an accident. Transportation network created via the platform is similar in some way to the cardiovascular system of an organism. This system includes cooperation of "capillaries" and "vessels". Here, "capillaries" can be associated with people, offering single deliveries of cargo, and "vessels" — with companies and entrepreneurs engaged in cargo deliveries.
Why the blockchain?
The question of mutual trust among the participants is essential in the field of cargo transportation. Implementation of blockchain technology in Capillar.io project is the key solution. Blockchain technology ensures equality among logistics platform participants, as well as simultaneous access to and immutability of operations data.
